Former member of the Federal House of Representatives for Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Federal Constituency,Hon. Uche Nwole who contested for Mbaitoli Local Government Chairmanship position,Hon. Chukwuma Ikeaka for Ideato South Chairmanship seat among other aspirants have been refunded the sum of three million naira only (#3,000,000.00) each which they paid to obtain nomination and expression of interest forms to run for Imo State Local Governments elections slated to hold on Saturday 21st September,2024.While Wards Councilorship seats got back their one million naira only (1,000,000.00) each.Presenting the cheques to the former aspirants at the State Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC located on the ever busy Owerri -Okigwe Road, Owerri yesterday, the Imo State Chairman of APC,Dr. MacDonald Ebere maintained that the kind gesture was inline with the resolution of the Party to refund money to all the Chairmanship and Councilorship aspirants within the 27 Local Governments and 305 wards of Imo State who did not make the list of consensus primary elections held on 3rd September,2024.Dr. MacDonald Ebere praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for taking bold step and kind-hearted to refund money to the aspirants who could not make the list of consensus candidates of the Party.He thanked the Party faithful (Aspirants)who had earlier declared support for APC and enjoined others join hands together to ensure that the Party emerges victory on Saturday.The APC Chairman declared their readiness to ensure that every aspirant get refunded as soon as possible.
