Nigeria Launches Major Tuberculosis Awareness Campaign
The Nigerian Ministry of Health has launched a nationwide campaign to combat tuberculosis (TB), aiming to reduce the prevalence of the disease through increased awareness, improved diagnostics, and enhanced treatment facilities. The campaign is supported by international partners and non-governmental organizations.
Health Minister Dr. Osagie Ehanire highlighted the importance of community involvement in eradicating TB. The initiative includes mobile clinics, public education programs, and training for healthcare workers to ensure early detection and effective treatment of TB cases.
